Dennis and I had lots of good talks, favorite conversations were about cooking. His meatloaf is something that everyone will always remember. I hope he has found peace now. Miss him
As a contractor working for Clausen through Lyondell I was able to work with Dennis. Always willing to help me as I learned my way around the Plant. May Godspeed and Bless his Soul. His Journey Continues. May you rest in Peace my Friend. Condolences to the Family as they may find Comfort in knowing that he is at Peace.

My condolences to the Thompson family. Dennis was a good friend and coworker. I will keep him in my thoughts always. So greatful for him organizing our Joliet races and being able to spend time with him outside of work. Life was a struggle for Dennis so please lord give him a good place to wait for the rest of us.
Dennis always made me laugh and i always did the same. His laughter was always contagious and his heart was always open. There is so much i wanna say, but i wont. I am deeply saddened and sorry to the family. He will always have a place in my heart and will be missed....... rest in peace
I'm so sorry to hear this. Dennis and I went to high school and Iowa State together. One time we were driving back to Ames in his big boat of a vehicle and got in a wreck. When the cop came to ask us if we were ok.... Dennis says " yes, we had our seatbelta on!" As he was saying this he grabs his seat belt and pulls it out to show the cop! It was so funny. He was a great man! Praying for the family during this difficult time.
Very sorry for the loss of Dennis to the Thompson family. Dennis and i became friends, and co workers in July of 2001 when for Equistar (Lyondellbasell). We were assigned to go to Low Density together. Rest Peacefully Dennis you will be missed my friend.

I enjoyed working with Dennis many years. My sincerest sympathy to the family.
Heartbreaking! I had the extreme pleasure of working, playing, and talking with Dennis for many years. He added a competitive challenge to our fun-filled nights at the bowling alley. Our friendly banter, regarding our individual favorite NASCAR drivers, was always cause for laughter. I'll never forget his silly and contagious smile and unique sense of humor. A gentle person with a sincere desire to please. My prayers are with all family members and friends. May God accept Dennis into His kingdom for eternal rest and happiness. 🙏
