Delbert Gene Friis, 69, of Camanche, died Monday, March 14, 2011 at his home. Services will be 10 AM Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Friday, March 18, 2011at the Cama Read Obituary
I for one will miss him. His honesty and just knowing how he felt about what ever was being discussed was refreshing. I valued his oppinion.

My heart goes out to the whole family. Delbert and I used to talk about everything, he talked very HIGHLY of his children, he loved you all and was sooo proud of every one of you! I will miss stopping by to just hear what he had to say, and I will miss having someone like him to talk to, I really respected his opinion. He will forever remain in my heart, untill we meet again.
Delbert was the smartest man I have ever met. He loved and lived life to the fullest. Never a dull moment with him. He loved his kids and family. He will leave a many holes in many hearts of all the people who knew and loved him. Miss you Del.

Todd, Molly, Heather, Aunt Rita, Aunt Rosalie and mom, My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Uncle Delbert will truly be missed. He was such a character and when I hear stories about the Friis kiddos growing up, he just always seemed to be planning the next best thing. Now he is with his buddy, Uncle Richard, grandma and grandpa and it gives me some comfort. He will be missed a bunch! Wish I could be there, but know that I am thinking of you all and I know Uncle Delbert is watching over us.
