I remember David from when I was a kid. I was friends with his daughter Laura, we lived in the same neighborhood. He made up a song about me. "Heather light as feather in all kinds of weather Heather" sometimes it would go on longer, :) that has always been imbedded in my memory. So much fun at their house as kids. Sorry for your loss. We met Dave as a great neighbor, he organized and threw several block bbqs just to meet and get to know his neighbors. always had a smile and made sure to speak to my special needs daughter. A great guy all around. Will definitely be missed. 🙏

I have so many fond memories of David. When I was hired as a telecommunications operator, that first week, I was overwhelmed trying to learn everything. It all was so very serious. Then I met David and Art Laufenburg! They were the detective division. First time I saw them, they were running through the lobby with water pistols, playing cops and robbers, laughing and hooting. Over the years, David would keep us entertained with wonderful stories. I learned what a sharp mind he had and his attention to detail was remarkable! I could see why he made such a good detective! We had such great conversations about Yorkshire, England. He even helped me with details about what tea to serve at the authentic Afternoon Teas we at held at the Curtis Mansion and some of the details about motives when we put on our murder mysteries too. I will miss his knowledge and humor. Rest in peace, David.
