Charles Bokenkroger's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Bokenkroger, 92, of Fulton, Illinois, passed away, Friday, June 5, 2015 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the AMVETS. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Hanson, Eric Marshall, Stacey Hoenicke, Roger Streed, and Vern Morrow. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Charles Bokenkroger was born March 11, 1923 in Goodland, Kansas, the son of Carl and Nola (Mansfield) Bokenkruger. He was a 1941 graduate of Davenport High School. He married Izetta Hanson on December 19, 1964 in Peoria, Illinios; she preceded him in death on May 19, 2014.
Chuck was a very proud veteran. He served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Chuck worked as an electrician for ALCOA for 42 years.
Chuck was a member of the Fulton American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and wood working; he especially loved when his grandchildren were around.
Chuck is survived by his son: Larry (Vicki) Marshall of McCausland, Iowa; daughters: Sandra Marshall of Fulton, Michelle, and Jo Lynne; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Izetta, Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, his son James; and his daughter Linda.
