Carol Hass' Obituary
Carol L. Hass, 72, of Cordova, Illinois, formerly of Clinton, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.
A Memorial Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Don Krambeck will conclude the visitation with a brief prayer at 7:00pm.
Carol Lea Morris was born on January 26, 1936 in Decatur, Indiana, the daughter of George O. and Viola (Wagenschutz) Morris. She married James Hass on October 9, 1955 in Clinton, Iowa.
Carol was a 1954 graduate of Clinton High School and was a homemaker.
Carol enjoyed quilting, traveling, reading, gardening, and spending time on and around the Mississippi River. She was also an over 40 year member of the Daughters of the Nile.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 52 years: Jim Hass of Cordova; two daughters: Christi (Steve) Pallo of Clinton, Illinois, and Julie (Ben) Hensley of Lincoln City, Oregon; one son: Jay (Janet) Hass of Grapevine, Texas; and five grandchildren: Nicholas Pallo, Christopher Pallo, Andy Hensley, Jim Hass, and Keri Hass.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and one son in infancy: Berthold.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Genesis Cancer Care Institute or the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
