Our condolences are sincerely offered to Byron's entire family. I personally feel that the levee that protects Clinton from Mississippi flood waters would not be there if not for the efforts of councilman Starr. Our entire community owes him a debt of gratitude for his insight and perseverance at seeing that project through. He will be protecting the people of Clinton through the levee for generations to come.
We became more personally familiar with Byron in the last decade through one of his bridge partners, Tom's mom, Helen Dose. Byron really liked Almond Rocha candy and dried mangos, so whenever we sent our care packages to mom, we would include one of those delicacies especially for Byron. There was a tin of Almond Rocha on its way to him when he fell ill this last time. We had a lot of laughs with Byron and he will be missed by us all.
Our prayers and sympathy are will you all at this time,
Sincerely,
Tom and Sharon Dose
