Barbara Ruth Jurgensen, 85, of Clinton, Iowa died Friday, September 02, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, North, Clinton. Graveside services will be 11:30am Wednesday, September 7, 2011at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Barbara Ruth Berg was born June 11, 1926 in Missouri Valley, Iowa the daughter of Victor H and Kate A. (Tyler) Berg. She was a 1943 Clinton High School graduate. She married Robert L. Jurgensen on February 25, 1945 in Clinton Iowa; Robert died July 18, 1997. Barbara was a homemaker and had been employed as a secretary in the research department at Clinton Corn for many years. Survivors include her daughters, Sue Ellyn (Richard) Voda of Clinton and Judith Ann Jurgensen of Davenport; grandchildren, Krista (Phil) Kelley of Pittsburg, PA, Scott (Jessica) Voda of Broken Arrow, OK and Kimberly Ottens of Clinton; great grandchildren, Jared Voda, Charlie Voda, Tarren Ottens, Kaden Ottens and Riley Ottens. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Strides for Clinton County Autism.
