Wilma Bell's Obituary
Wilma E. Bell, 88, of Camanche, passed away, Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Harmony House – Clinton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-3:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Wilma Elizabeth Goddard was born on January 28, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Leland and Irene (Elliott) Goddard. She was a 1943 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Lawrence Bell on January 2, 1945 in Chicago he died March 6, 2006.
Wilma was a homemaker. She worked part-time at the V Store in Camanche and operated the Deacons Bench gift shop out of her home.
Wilma was a member of First Baptist Church – Camanche and was the Sunday School pianist. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Wilma is survived by three daughters: Janet Pederson of Camanche, Barbara (Thomas) Jefferds of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, and Beverly (Butch) Davis of Camanche; one son: David (Becky) Bell of Westerville, Ohio; 8 grandchidlren, 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, and one granddaughter.
Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church – Camanche or the Harmony House.
