William Williams' Obituary
William R. Williams 78, of Clinton died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. William R. Williams was born on June 6, 1933 in Clinton, the son of Lee K. and Lillian (Behr) Williams. He was a 1951 Clinton High School graduate. He married Barbara Colson on March 21, 1954; she died on March 16, 2009. He was employed in the maintenance department at DuPont for 40 years until retiring in 1991. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. William was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, AMVETS, and V.F.W. He is survived by two sons: Richard Franklin (Lynn) Williams of Concord, CA, and Charles E. (Diane) Williams of Johnston, IA; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son and one daughter in infancy. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
