William "Pops" Snodgrass' Obituary
William “Pops” Snodgrass, 81, of Clinton, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Alverno, Clinton. There will be no services; cremation will take place at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial of the urn will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Clinton.
William was born April 17, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of John and Bernice (Gundelfinger) Snodgrass. He married Margaret McDonnell in 1960 in Clinton; she passed away in 2008.
He had been employed as a mechanic at Waukesha Engines for more than 25 years prior to retiring.
Survivors include his oldest daughter, Steve “Kook” Snodgrass of Clinton; Son, William (Sharon) Snodgrass, Jr. of Geneseo, IL; daughter, Bernice Buikema of Fulton, IL; son, David Snodgrass of Albany, IL; daughter, Victoria (Vernon) Spiker of Oquawka, IL; son, James (Kellie) Snodgrass of Belgrade, MT and son, Kenneth (Nona) Snodgrass of DeWitt, IA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sister, Irene McDonnell of Davenport, IA. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alverno.
