William R. May's Obituary
William R. May, 88, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his home in Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Clinton Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery – Camanche. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time at the church. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.
William R. May was born on December 31, 1932 in Clinton, the son of Willis and Norma (Richmond) May.
William worked at the Bennett Box Company and Skyline Center for many years. He was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ. He participated in Truth Singers at the DeWitt E-Free Church every Thursday night and requested his favorite hymn “Old Rugged Cross.” He also enjoyed making ceramics with Skyline staff and had a large collection of handmade crafts in his home.
William is survived by Gene (Patricia) May of Camanche, Iowa and his friends at the Skyline Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
