William Hintz's Obituary
William C. Hintz, 82, of Shepherds Creek Community, NC, formerly of Clinton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2009 in Asheville, NC. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date. William Clinton Hintz was born on September 24, 1926 in Aurelia, IA, the son of William and Lillie (Matzdorff) Hintz. He graduated from Peterson High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in World War II. He married Sylvia Hitchcock on March 12, 1950 in Clinton; she died on September 9, 1990. He married Mary Frett (Dynes) on October 5, 1991. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion of Cherokee, NC, and the VFW Post 9281 of Bryson City. He is survived by his Wife Mary, 2 daughters: Roi Ann (Jeff) Babcock of Clinton, and Rhonda (Paul) Stein of Rosemount, MN; 2 sons: Wayne Hintz of Farmington, MN and Tony (Michelle) Hintz of Clinton; 2 step sons, 3 step daughters, one sister: Adeline Molone of Albuquerque, NM, 8 grandchildren, 14 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the family.
