William L. Goers' Obituary
William Louis Goers, 83, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Mercy Living Center South, Clinton.
Graveside services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 – 7 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Pallbearers will be Russ Houzenga, Jerry Bush, Arlyn VanZuiden, Denny Kair, Bob Holesinger and Dwaine Boehde.

Bill was born June 9, 1931 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Kathryn (Stamp) Goers. He was a U S Army Korean War veteran. He married Dorothy Goodwin on July 12, 1959 in Nashua, Iowa.
He was employed as a processor at ADM for 43 years, retiring in 1993.
William was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, the 25 year club at Clinton Corn, lifetime member of the Moose Lodge #363, the Clinton Bowling Association where he was past president, the 700 Club and the Clinton AMVETS.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Clinton; godsons, Joshua Luce and Jacob Luce and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, great great-nieces and great great-nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Memorials may be made to the family for a favorite charity.
