William J. Chambers' Obituary
William J. Chambers, 76, of Camanche passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at MercyOne - Dubuque.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, July 15, 2024 at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his family. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service time Monday at the funeral home.
William James Chambers was born December 5, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of James and Dolores (Otten) Chambers. He married Sandra Steffey on December 17, 1966 in Clinton. He was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School. He was a Maintenance Machinist at RockTenn for 30 years retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Chambers of Camanche; four children: Tammy (Steve) Jorgensen of Clinton, Iowa, Kevin (Tammie) Chambers of Clinton, Iowa, Brent Chambers of Clinton, and Jeffrey (Jeanine) Chambers of Clinton; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and one sister Bonnie Mangelsdorf of Clinton.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
