Wilbur Wessels' Obituary
Wilbur J. Wessels, 91, of Sabula, passed away, Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Eagle Point Nursing Home.
Per his wishes there will be no services or visitation.
Wilbur John Wessels was born on July 29, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Alvis and Florence (Hall) Wessels. He attended Lyons schools.
Wilbur started working at the age of 12, setting pins for Philp Soesbe at the Olds Bowl. He would later work for many years painted racks at Central Streel Tube in Camanche. After retiring he enjoyed helping area farmers make hay and riding his horse Scout on the Hauntown trail ride.
Wilbur is survived by his sister: Connie Green of Sabula and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
