Wayne R. Wall's Obituary
Wayne R. Wall, 77, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 followed by burial in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Wall, Bradley Wall, Donald Beard, Donald Beard, Jr., Michael Beard and Thomas Beard.
Wayne Richard Wall was born April 21, 1945 in Vallejo, California, the son of Lester and Berniece (Goodsman) Wall and was raised by his mother and step-father Kurt and Berniece Arvidson in Clinton. He was a 1963 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Gloria Gifford on June 19, 1965 in Clinton, Iowa; she preceded him in death on March 28, 2021. He worked for DuPont for 40 years; retiring in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin on the Mississippi. He loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his three children Kristin (Donald) Beard of Zephyrhills, Florida, Bradley (Amy) Wall of Ankeny, Iowa and Brian (JoEllen) Wall of Bellevue, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Emma (Zach) Lindstrom of Dubuque, Iowa, Grace Wall of Iowa City, Iowa, Catherine Beard of Lakeland, Florida, Donald, Jr., Michael, Madeline and Thomas Beard of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Janet (Jordan) Watkins of Bellevue, Iowa; four great grandchildren: Emerson, Sawyer, Lincoln and Bentley Watkins of Bellevue, Iowa; and one sister: Debra (Robert) Witt of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kurt and Berniece Arvidson, his wife and daughter-in-law Suzanne Wall.
Memorials may be made to The Catholic Historical Center at St. Boniface in Clinton.
