Wayne Paulline's Obituary
Wayne J. Paulline, 78, of Clinton, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at Mercy Living Center, North, Clinton. Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS Post #28. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Dash, Keith Dash, Terry Schoephorster, Steve Paulline, and Scott Paulline . Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00pm-5:00pm at the funeral home. Wayne J. Paulline was born on October 12, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Marian (Mohr) Pauline. He married Phyllis Jones on July 18, 1964 in Fulton, Illinois; she died July 18, 1990. Wayne was a 1953 graduate from Clinton High School. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force from 1954-1958. Wayne was employed with Clinton Corn for 29 years. He was also employed at Collis and with Veterans Roofing.
Wayne was a member of the Eagles Club, enjoyed bowling, watching the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Wayne is survived by a daughter: Abbie (Jim) Flood of Clinton; three grandchildren: Brianna (Spenser) Mussmann, Katie Flood, and Ian Flood; two brothers: Ronald (Pat) Paulline of Fulton, and Gary Paulline of Clinton; and two sisters: Barbara (Gerald) Schoephorster of Clinton, and Delores (Gary) Dash of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one son: Michael in 1984. The family requests that memorials be made to Mercy Living Center – North, Restoring Royalty, or Irish Boosters.
