In Wayne’s own words: I ask everyone not to mourn me, but to celebrate my life. I lived a long and happy life. I graduated high school in 1962 and college in 1965. I started my job at ADM and worked as a lab tech for 40 years.
I enjoyed loving and taking care of my cats. They were my kids. I also loved feeding the birds, racoons and any other animals that came to eat. I want to thank Bob and Julie Zuidema for helping take care of the house and animals.
I was involved in Trees Forever, the Nature Center Barn and the Albany Lion’s Club.
I loved food. I liked to meet up with friends at the casino to eat, including long-time friend Bob Betsinger. I liked to go to the Golden Corral with my nephew and his wife, Rodney (La Sene) Jewell. I like meeting up late nights with my friend Jim and having supper and watching movies. Id also like to extend a special thank-you to my nephew and caretaker and his wife John (Alicia) Greene for taking care of me and my cats in my time of need and for taking me to do whatever I wanted to do.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carolyn and his uncle Howard Jewell.
