Warren White's Obituary
Warren White, 88, of Clinton, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Alverno. Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Monday, June 23, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobb Barrack officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery, with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS Post #28. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-6:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Warren Marcus White was born on February 22, 1920 in Clinton County, the son of Warren and Ethel (Raworth) White. He married Cora Belle Marlowe on May 4, 1940; she later died on April 26, 1989. Warren was a graduate of Charlotte High School. He served in the United States Navy as a Sea Bee during World War II, stationed in Guam. Warren was employed with Hawkeye Chemical for over 20 years, prior to that he was employed with Harvey Implement. Warren was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Clinton Moose Lodge, and the Clinton AMVETS. Warren is survived by his daughter: Sharon Keegan of Clinton; six grandchildren: Mark Keegan, Scott Keegan, Dean Keegan, Trent Josten, Blake Josten, and Jared Josten; and six great-grandchildren: Andrew Keegan, Heather Keegan, Allison Keegan, Elizabeth Keegan, Samantha Keegan, and Kaylyn Keegan. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, one sister, and one daughter. Memorials can be made to the Alverno Nursing or the First United Methodist Church.
