Wanda Gheer's Obituary
Wanda “Carly” Gheer, 80, of Clinton, died Sunday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.
There will be no services or visitation. Private burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Wanda Harris was born on February 16, 1934 in Okemah, Oklahoma the daughter of Calvin and Opal (Murphy) Harris. She married Roldan Gheer in 1953 in Rock Island, Illinois; he died August 1998.
Wanda was a homemaker.
Wanda is survived by her daughter: Terri (Joe Ellison) Gheer-Bertrand of Bettendorf; seven grandchildren: Jena (Matt) Austin, Joshua (Leah) Epping, Jodi (T.C.) Casey, Jonathan (Megan) Gheer-Bertrand, Jordan Bertrand, Jacob Bertrand, and Jalan Bertrand; sixteen great-grandchildren: Kiona, Chayton, Kristiana, Anthony, Tre, Arissa, Dyla, Gavin, Alyssa, Kelsi, Rylan, Ethan, Maci, Tommy, Annabelle, and Jonathan, Jr. and one sister: Hazel.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, and one brother.
Memorials can be made to the family.
