Wanda L. Carstensen's Obituary
Wanda L. Carstensen, 85, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Eagle Point Nursing & Rehab, Clinton. Services will be 11:00AM Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the service hour Monday. Wanda Gibson was born March 29, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Marion (Powell) Gibson. Wanda was a 1956 graduate of Clinton High School. She was a homemaker.
Wanda married Daniel Randolph in April 1957; she later married Gene A. Carstensen March 13, 1965 in Fulton, Illinois; Gene died August 14, 2016.
Wanda was a member of the River Church. Wanda was a kind and sweet natured soul. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her abundance of grandchildren. She was a very creative person and enjoyed working on and teaching her crafts to her great grandchildren. Wanda was a very giving person who loved to gift others with her creations. She was shy but loved socializing with family and friends especially enjoying the dessert at the end of the meal.
Survivors include her children: Carey (Ron) Everson; Connie (Timothy) McLaughlin; Sonda Randolph and Daniel Randolph all of Clinton; grandchildren, Natalie Kristensen, Audrey Everson, Wade Everson, Tavia Movida, Austin Everson, Tyler Everson and Katie McLaughlin; 25 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and her sister, Sandra (John) Hicks of Rock Falls, Illinois.
In addition to her husband Gene, she was preceded in death by her first husband Daniel, brothers, Kenneth and Donald and her parents.
Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or Eagle Point Nursing & Rehab.
