Walter was truly one in a million; he was my "dog show DAD" and friend as Darlene is my "dog show Mom", mentor and friend! He was always thinking ahead and saving room for us, helping with dogs ringside! We spent many a weekend traveling to the local breakfast spot after showing to chat with other bulldoggers and enjoy good food and friends. The last several years were not kind to Walter; he is now released from his earthly ills. Darlene, his family and the bulldog world have lost a wonderful person! Godspeed Walter! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Darlene.

Dear Darlene,
Walter and you have been dear friends for so long that it is hard to think of him being gone now. I'll miss his beautiful smile and his great dry sense of humor. We had a lot of good times together in your motorhome when Walter was in better health. Our deepest sympathies. He will be missed very much.

How very sad to learn of the passing of this wonderful man. Walter was a friend, a truly good man, a kind and gentle Bulldogger, a loyal worker and supporter of the BCA and everything he put his heart into. Always there for anyone who needed him, the world is a lesser place without Walter, his great smile and the porkchops and good times we shared.

It's been a long time since Bob and I met you and Walter. Walter was a great Bulldogger. We have fond memories. One that stands out was the National in Minneapolis, I believe in the 70's, when Walter cooked a pig on his mobile bbq for all. Our Sympathy to Darlene and family.
