Vivian Shew's Obituary
Vivian T. Shew, 91, of Clinton, died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Mercy Living Center, South. Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Evangelical Free Church with Dr. Thomas Loyola officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Vivian Theresa Wendelboe was born on September 22, 1917 in Barons, Alberta Canada, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Lund) Wendelboe. She married Harold Shew on April 26, 1942 in Yakima, Washington; he later died February 20, 1967. She was employed with Clinton Foods for 18 ½ years a lab technician. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church. She was an established painter, sculptor, and writer. She is survived by a daughter: Vicky (Austin) Shontz of Clinton; 2 grandchildren: Austin (Gloria) Shontz of Savanna, Georgia, and Holly (Nathan) Stitt of Holts Summit, Missouri and 1 great-grandson: Michael Stitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Memorials can be made to the Sam’s Helping Hand at the Evangelical Free Church.
