Virginia Petersen's Obituary
Virginia G. Petersen, 89, of Waterloo and formerly of Clinton, Iowa died Friday January 18, 2008 at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab in Waterloo, Iowa. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded, the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. She was born November 19, 1918 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Beatrice (Holloway) Geiger. She was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School and received her AA degree from Mt. St. Clare. She married Kenneth L. Petersen July 3, 1941 in Clinton; he died May 30, 1977. Survivors include her sons, James C. (Jane) Petersen of Dubuque, Iowa and Jeffrey R. (Sheryl) Petersen of Waterloo and 2 grandsons. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles.
