Viola Schaley's Obituary
Viola M. "Jeep" Schaley, 88, of Clinton, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Wyndcrest Nursing Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 4 to 8pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff Wiley, Kent Lee, Kevin Berry, Mark Howard and Bill Wright and nephew, Tab Kraft. Honorary pallbearers will be Vicki Long and Renea Lee. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Viola was born on October 31, 1919 in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of George E. and Pearl (Scott) Morris. She was a Clinton High School graduate. She married Kent E. Schaley April 10, 1937 in Clinton. She was a homemaker.
Viola was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Royal Neighbors of America and the Eagles Club.
Survivors include her husband, Kent; daughters, Patricia Lee and Phyllis Howard both of Clinton; her son, Kenneth "Mike" (Kathleen "Lynn") Schaley of Clinton; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alvin Morris.
Memorial may be made to the Clinton Firefighters Association.
