Vincent Papagni, Sr., 83, of Clinton, IA, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Wyndcrest Nursing Home in Clinton, IA. There will be no services or visitation, as per his wishes cremation rites were held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Vincent was born on Wednesday, September 24, 1924, in Worcester, MA the son of Antonio and Angelina (DeFeudis) Papagni. Vincent married Elaine Gluesing February 20, 1960 in Fresno, CA. He was a WWII United States Navy Veteran. He had been employed as a Supervisor at Carlon and had worked at Clinton Corn until the Strike. Vincent was a member of the AMVETS Post #28.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Papagni of Clinton, IA; sons Tony V. Papagni and Maurice J. Papagni both of Oak Creek, WI; daughters Diane (Neal) Scudder of West Bend, WI and Angela Papagni of Davenport, IA; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Virginia Rana of Fresno, CA and Christine DeGregorio of Worcester, MA. In addition to his parents his son, Vincent in 1990, 2 brothers and a sister, preceded him in death. Online condolences may be left at www.snell-zornig.com.
