Vera W. Yaddof's Obituary
Vera W. Yaddof, 94, of Camanche passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at Mercy Living Center- North.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, August 17, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church – Camanche. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Bergren, Dean Yaddof, Brady Yaddof, Matt Thomsen, Taylor Yaddof and Jeff Bergren. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory and briefly prior to the service starting on Friday at the church. Vera W. Werner was born February 18, 1924 in Miles, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Orpha (Bratthauer) Werner. She married Eldon Yaddof on July 26, 1953 in Preston, Iowa; he preceded her in death on December 1, 2011.
Vera was a homemaker and was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche. She served on the W.E.L.C.A. women of the church committee for many years. She was an avid reader, a former member of the Camanche Reading Circle and a volunteer for Agatha Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and sewing but mostly she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
Vera will be dearly missed by her two children: Dean (Vicki) Yaddof of Camanche and Sandra (Michael) Bergren of Coal Valley, Illinois; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters: Irene Nielsen of Clinton and Ramona VonSprecken of Maquoketa, Iowa; sister-in-law Judy Werner of Morrison, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
