Vera J. Ott's Obituary
Vera Jean Ott, 92, of Clinton passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Good Samaritan Home in Davenport.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Vera Jean Buckman was born February 23, 1929 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Charles and Carrie Elizabeth (Judd) Buckman. Her first marriage was to Julio De Simone and they had four children together. He preceded her in death. She married Kenneth G. Ott on September 20, 1972 in Clinton, Iowa; he preceded her in death on November 18, 1987. She was a 1947 graduate of Clinton High School.
Vera worked for PFC doing clerical worked for 10 years; retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Clinton AMVETS and enjoyed bowling, gardening, bingo, crochet and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children: T.J. Houston of Fulton, Illinois, David De Simone of Clinton, Iowa, Pamela (Jodi) De Simone of Muscatine, Iowa and Lori (Lisa Livingston) De Simone of Bettendorf, Iowa; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, five brothers and one grandchild.
Vera was a sweet woman who was loved by all. Smiles and kind words were always given when Vera was present.
