Venita Yopst's Obituary
Venita B. Yopst, 98, of Clinton, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Glew, Shane Glew, Matt Thomas, Brian Thomas, Chris Ready, and Tim Kline. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Venita Belle Yopst was born on April 30, 1911, in Albany, Illinois, the daughter of Floss and Effie (Jordan) Yopst. Venita was at 1931 graduate of Clinton High School. She worked for the Clinton Garment Factory as a seamstress for over 30 years retiring in 1972. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and she enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Venita was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, six sisters, one niece, and one nephew. Memorials can be made to Employee’s Fund at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
