Velma M. Brandenburg's Obituary
Velma M. Brandenburg, 96, of Clinton, died Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church – Clinton. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Velma Marie Stahl was born on September 12, 1916 in Fayette County, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Elsie (Foss) Stahl.
Velma attended schools in Minnesota. She was a seamstress at Pearson Cleaners for 30 years.
Velma was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a member of Women of the Moose. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing in her card club, and following the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes.
Velma is survived by two daughters: Sandra (David) Petersen of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Bette Brandenburg of Watertown, Wisconsin, one son: Gary (Dixie) Brandenburg of Normal, Illinois, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents, and four sisters.
Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Genesis Hospice.
