Ullainee Marie (Pitts) Wareham, 102, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, formerly of Clinton, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Services will be 1 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held from Noon to 1 PM Saturday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Burial will be in St. Ireneus Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Matthew Wareham, John William Wareham, James Reilly Wareham, Patrick John Carrabine, Craig Edward Hemke and Joshua Raymond McGee. Honorary Pallbearer V. Peter Pitts

Ullainee Marie (Pitts) Wareham was born April 10, 1912 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Ida Rachel McGonegle and Peter Francis Pitts. She attended St. Mary's grade school and high school and Mount St. Clare College. She worked at the M & A Boot Shop, Studeman's Shoe Store, E.L Leslie Millinery and Kline's. She married Lyman H. Wareham on September 30, 1936 at St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a partner with him in the Milo John Company which operated Rexall Drug Stores and The Symphony News. She was extraordinarily active at St. Mary's Church and School and in the community, volunteering for, chairing and co-chairing a wide range of projects and events. She and her husband relocated to Arizona in 1970. They returned to Iowa in 1979 and lived in Davenport. She resided at Ridgecrest Retirement Village in Davenport from 2001 to 2013 when she moved to South Franklin Circle in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
In 1992, on her eightieth birthday, her family honored her and her husband for their many contributions to the community with the establishment of the Lyman and Ullainee Fund of the Prince of Peace School Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to assist young people in realizing their goals in the hope of inspiring generosity in others.
Mrs. Wareham was preceded in death by her husband Lyman Hugh Wareham and by her brother James Francis Pitts. She is survived by her three sons and their spouses: James Lyman (Jim) and Patricia Wrubel Wareham of Scottsdale, Arizona and New Buffalo, Michigan; John Peter (Jack) and Lois Robinson Wareham of Orange and Palm Desert, California; and Jerrold Francis (Jerry) and Anne Hogan Wareham of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She is also survived by six grand children: Jacquelyn Marie Hemke (Craig) of Lenexa, Kansas; Lisa Jo Carrabine (Patrick) of LaGrange Park, Illinois; James Matthew Wareham of Tustin, California; Tara Lynn McGee (Joshua) of LaGrange, Illinois; John William Wareham (Ginger Noah) of Beaufort, South Carolina and James Reilly Wareham of Santa Monica, California, eleven great grand children: Sabrina Tawney Wareham, Josephine Marie Carrabine, Madeline Wareham Hemke, Margaret Lynn Carrabine, Samantha Mae Hemke, Jane Whitney McGee, Anne Elizabeth McGee, Katherine Lyman McGee, Lucy Rose McGee, William Hogan Wareham and Cecilia Bellamy Wareham.
