Todd M. Card's Obituary
Todd M. Card, 58 of Camanche passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Camanche. Burial will be in Prairie Union Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Wainwright, Michael Kuehl, Dave Jensen, Eddie Doyle, Corey Doyle, and Lleyton Bates. Dave Williams will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Todd Michael Card was born July 27, 1965 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Robert and Judith (Powell) Card. He was a 1983 graduate of DeWitt High School. He attended trade school and studied HVAC. Todd married Delinda Bates on April 3, 1999 in Clinton, Iowa.
Todd worked as a slot technician at the Clinton Riverboat Casino for many years and most recently he was employed by River Valley Grain Elevator in DeWitt. Todd enjoyed being a part of the "farmer hotline" as it was commonly referred to at the elevator. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Todd was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan and enjoyed cheering his team on. He cherished his many trips to Canada where he would fish, boat, and attend rodeos with his family.
Todd is survived by his wife Delinda Card of Camanche; children: Khloe, Aleayah and Tinley Card all at home; beloved dog and companion Franklin; his father: Bob Card of Camanche; mother-in-law: Sharon Bates of Dewberry, Alberta, CAN; step siblings: Marc (Jeannette) Seibel of Camanche and Joan (Mike) Furguson of Bonaparte, Iowa; brothers-in-law: Lindsey (Judy) Bates of Vermilion, Alberta, CAN, Lyle (Jenny Gibson) Bates of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, CAN and Lorne Bates of Red Deer, Alberta, CAN; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a great niece and a great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother Judy, brother Shawn Card and father-in-law Dale Bates.
