Timothy Allen Stanley's Obituary
Tim Stanley was born July 6, 1957 in Clinton, Iowa and passed October 21, 2019 at the age of 62 of heart failure after a long battle with Neuropathy. He was preceded by his parents Helen and Al Stanley of Clinton. Surviving Tim are his two daughters Katie (Stanley) Daniels of Eldridge and Brittany Stanley of Manchester, twin brother Tom and wife Marta and daughters Kara and Jessica of Holland (MI), Kathy Eschelbach of Tacoma (WA) and Christy Foley of Clinton. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Prior to Tim's disability he was a Financial Advisor with E. F. Hutton, City Bank and lastly Linsco Private Ledger in the Chicago area until his disability forced his retirement in 2002. Tim was a talented artist and musician, playing banjo and guitar, and an accomplished athlete, competing at the highest level in track and swimming at Clinton High School. He continued to compete in running events well into his 30's. Tim graduated from Clinton High School in 1975 and then University of Iowa in 1982. Tim did his best to live independently in spite of severe physical handicaps and remained personable and good natured to those he came into contact with and interacted regularly. Special thanks go to those who assisted directly in his care for the last ten years. The funeral will be held at 4:00PM Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the First United Presbyterian Church on 5th Ave. So., Clinton.
