Thomas F. Reckman's Obituary
Thomas F. Reckman, 64, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be 10:00am, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Thomas Frederick Reckman was born on January 11, 1954 in Clinton, the son of Frederick and V. Beverly (Reed) Reckman. He was a 1972 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Michelle Vulich in 1973, they had a daughter: Amie; they later divorced. He later found his soul mate and the love of his life Julie Quick and were married on October 22, 2011 in Fulton; she recently passed away on July 6, 2018.
Tom worked at International Paper for many years before the plant closed. He later worked for Bemis/Clysar. His faith was important to him and was a member of the River Church. He loved to fish, all types of music, work in his garden and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved to spend time with this family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s events.
Tom is survived by his daughter: Amie Reckman of Clinton and granddaughter: Ayanna Reckman of Clinton; Julie’s children: John Roth, Jr. of Clinton, and Tricia (Tom) Telford of Clinton; four grandchildren: Bray (Amber) Cloud, Emma Roth, Abby Telford and Aiden Telford all of Clinton; four great grandchildren: Alayah, Noelle, Rainey and Xander; six siblings:: Nancy (Ray) Kappes of Hewitt, Texas, Duane (Linda) Reckman of Sherwood, Arkansas, Diane (Pat) Luckritz of Clinton; Karen (Mike) Schmidt of Cabot, Arkansas, Ron Reckman of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Mike (Beth) Reckman of Davenport, Iowa; his aunt: Betty Fisher of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; and his beloved dog, Marlie. In addition to his wife Julie, he was preceded in death by his parents, God son/nephew: Eric Schmidt.
