Thomas J. Klare, 70, of Clinton passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 at MercyOne - Clinton.

Thomas Joseph Klare was born August 21, 1955 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Lois (Maw) Klare. He was a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School. He worked many places over the years such as Drives, Collis, Inc., and Central Steel. Most recently he was doing temporary work at ADM, 3M and Lyondell.
He enjoyed fishing and golfing in his younger years and has always loved watching sports, especially basketball and football. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Green Bay Packers Fan. He had a heart for people and really loved helping his neighbor and friend Rebecca Chan and her family, he became more like family than a friend to them over the years.
Tom is survived by his siblings: Bruce Klare of Clinton, Vicky Murphy of Camanche, Barb Cook of Clinton, Elizabeth Peltier of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mark (Julie) Klare of Mobile, Alabama and Susan Klare of Cordova, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; long time best friend of 49 years Kathy Holcomb of Cordova, Illinois; and friend Rebecca Chan and her children Ben and Bailey.
Memorials may be made to Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes to assist with Tom’s final expenses.
