Thomas R. King, Sr., 72, of Camanche, passed away, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his home in Camanche.

Thomas Ray King, Sr. was born on October 8, 1950 in Clinton, the son of Verne and Varena (Smith) King, Jr. He was a 1969 graduate of Camanche High School. He then went on to serve in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1969-1972. He married Debra Smith on September 15, 1972 in Elvira.
Tom worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad in the car shop for many years. He enjoyed shooting guns and going squirrel and duck hunting. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and joking with friends and family.
Tom is survived by his wife: Deb of Camanche; two sons: Thomas King, Jr. of Clinton, and Randy King of Camanche; four grandchildren: Zakry and Tyler King, Kaylee Parker, and Paisley Lee; his sister: Varena King of Clinton, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs: Fred and Barney. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law: Dale Smith, and his beloved dog: Rocket.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
