Thomas Burken's Obituary
Thomas E. Burken, 83, formerly of Camanche passed away December 10, 2024 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Thomas Burken was born on October 31, 1941 in Jackson County, Iowa, the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Wagemester) Burken. He was a 1959 graduate of Goose Lake High School. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam. Tom married Helen Eberhart in November 1966, he later married Rachel Giddings in 1984. Tom lived in Oklahoma for many years. When he was living in Iowa he worked on the river loading and unloading barges.
Tom was a member of the American Legion Mohawk post 308 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He enjoyed dancing, karaoke and having a good time.
Tom is survived by his son Ron (Sherril Johnson) Burken of Andover, Iowa; two daughters: Noreen Burken of DeWitt and Jennifer Burken of Camanche; grandchildren: Jamie (Tony) Kirk, Samantha Burken, Candace (Chris) Brown and Dash (Anna) Lange; great grandchildren: Noah, Broly, Oliver, Madalynn and Elijah Kirk, Henry and Owen Lange and Emma Brown; one sister Connie Gerber and special friend Rebecca Childress of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Robert, James, LeRoy and Delores.
