Gene and Family, I am so sorry for your loss of a wounderful person, mother and friend. I pray that the Lord will bless you and give you strength during this difficult time.
I just got the e-mail and I am sorry for what happen to an excellent spirit. I am shocked as you must be. A great girl and friend. ~Dawn
When Theresa was a child, even though i was no relation she called me her cousin. And after she moved back to Clinton to be reunited with her family she still considered me to be family. She introduced me to her family as her cousin. I was touched by that more than she knew. I never seen her angry and she was always happy to see you. So full of life and always gave it 110% whatever it was and was always thankful about everything. She is a bright light that will shine above and I will always think of her with a smile on my face! She was a special person in my life and she will never be forgotten. Please bring peace to this family.
Roberto, who has been an exchange student at Clinton High and who has lived with the Hynous family, is a "son of the heart" for me. I had the pleasure to get in touch with the family and to receive Lennea and Andrew in Rio de Janeiro as well. They are as special "son" as Roberto for me. Gene, Andrew and Lennea, I'll be always praying for you. I'll miss Theresa's phone calls when we tryied to understand each other, once I don't speak English. It's obvious that this message has been translated by Cris. Remember you have my friendship and my and my husband's house in Rio de Janeiro. Be in peace, Silene
Gene,
I understand that saying how sorry I am that Theresa has passed away probably doesn't help but I am unable to express myself. She was just.....wonderful!
Andrew & Leannea,
I just needed to tell you how completely wonderful your mother treated me. Always accepting and loving. I never walked into a room that was not brightened by her. A true Christian with an open heart. My life was richer for having expirienced her joy.
Peace friend
Sorry for your loss.
Gene,
I was so sad to here of the loss of your Theresa. She was such a delight to be around,I have fond memories of her. I pray that the Lord will give you strength at this time. Love, Betty
Our very dear Lennea, Andrew and Gene! Our Iowa's Family! We are in shock! Theresa was a special friend: lovely, kind, sweet. She was so young, she wanted so hard to live, not only for her but for her family, for her friends and for anyone who would be in her way. Iâ??ve shared with her my son, Roberto, during his unforgettable exchange period at Clinton High, living with the Hynous family. Theresa became a great friend, such a special mom to my son that I could never be jealous of her. I could only thank her to be beside my son. Today is rainning in Rio and those drops are mixed to our ones, but I'm sure she is in her way to heaven which will be in feast to receive her and her unique smile. Theresa, we didn't want you to leave us, but I believe your mission here is done, and well done, so well done you were called to go. This was not in vain. Be in peace and I hope to meet you again in the future. Gene, Andrew and Lennea, our heart, our feelings, thoughts are with you, and always remember: you have a family down here in Rio de Janeiro, waiting for you. Roberto is so sad because he knows he has lost a special "mom", a special person who always phoned to him to ask about his life, his girl friend, his college. My mom, Ruth, who has only good words about Theresa, is in schock: she is 83 years old and Theresa was supposed to leave us after her. She sends her most deeply sympathies as well as Paulo, who has been in Rio for the week end. Be in peace all of you. Love, Cris
To Gene and family - my prayers are with you at this very difficult time. I remember how contagious Theresa's smile was. May the Lord be with you.
