Terry Voss' Obituary
Terry Voss, 74 of Davenport Iowa formerly of Clinton Iowa passed away July 12th, peacefully surrounded by family.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Church of the Open Door. Burial will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery – Morrison. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Fier, Luke Staskal, Kristopher Koontz, Jake Benischek, Nathan Voss, Kyle Hansen, Gail Vegter. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dillan, Kinnick, Carter, and Ryan Voss. Visitation will be from 11:00am to the service time at the church. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Terry was born in Illinois and was the oldest child to Edwin and Arldine (Weaver) Hansen.
Terry worked for 33 years at Northwestern Bell (changed to) Qwest Communications. She started out as an phone operator in Clinton at Northwestern Bell at the age of 16. She attended school in the Clinton area graduating at Mount St Clare High School and then went on to attend college.
Terry enjoyed reading the paper and doing the daily puzzles. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, and quilting. But most dear to Terry's heart was her love for the Lord. She truly loved the Lord and lived her life by the word of the Bible and ministering to others.
Terry married Dennis Voss and out of this union she had 4 children. Michael (Lynn) Voss of Maryland, Heather Fier of Preston, Iowa, Scott (Michelle) Voss of Des Moines, Iowa, Joshua (Tricia) Voss of Pennsylvania; Terry had several grandchildren: Erin, Molly, Bridget Voss of Maryland, Scott, Holly Fier, Luke Staskal of Iowa, Emilee, Nathan, Dillan, Kinnick Voss of Iowa, Carter, Ryan, Marlee Voss of Pennsylvania. 2 great grandchildren, Huxley Farwell and Hendrix Fier of Iowa; her sisters: Diane (Gail) Vegter of Clinton, Iowa, Susan (Paul) Ryan, of New Mexico, Richard (Kym) Hansen, Illinois, Donna (Randy) May of Clinton, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
