Terry L. Larkey's Obituary
Terry L. Larkey, 67, of Low Moor, passed away, Thursday, November 2, 2023 at his home.
Graveside Services will be 10:00am, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery – Camanche, Iowa with military honors being conducted by the United States Navy. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Terry Lee Larkey was born on September 11, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Donald and Shirley (Hansen) Larkey. He was a 1974 graduate of DeWitt High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1976. He married Brenda Wiebers on November 14, 1998 in Elvira.
Terry was a truck driver with Determann Industries, Dwaine Johnson, Ryman, Greystone, Tauke, and Simons retiring in August 2015.
Terry ENJOYED his grandchildren immensely and was known as Papa Choo Choo. He was a racing fan, especially drag racing, was a Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He really enjoyed truck driving having driven in all of the 48 continental United States.
Terry is survived by his wife: Brenda of Low Moor; his children: Chad Brown of Clinton, Jaimi Jess of DeWitt, and Shane (Hope) Ralston of Clinton; twelve grandchildren: Brandon, Mariah, Tyler, Skylar, Carly, Dylan, Kailee, Logan, Brayden, Brady, Dallas, and Caiden; seven great-grandchildren: Alonna, Madi, Brooklynn, Owen, Zayden, Kaiser, Winchester; and one on the way; his mother: Shirley Larkey of Low Moor; his brother: Steve (Bobbette) Larkey of Livingston, Louisiana; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Thomas and Ardelle Wiebers of Camanche and Mission, Texas; his brother-in-law: Dean Wiebers of East Moline, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials can be made to the Low Moor Volunteer Fire Department or the family.
