Terrance "Terry" W. Brooks' Obituary
Terrance W. “Terry” Brooks, 78, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away, Monday, December 29, 2014 at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 5:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 5 PM Friday at the Camanche Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date.

Terry was born January 8, 1936 in Coloma, MI, the son of Burrell M. and Dorothy J. (Peters) Brooks. He was a 1955 Charlotte High School graduate and attended Clinton Community College. He married Sharon Y. Guenther on August 18, 1956 in Maquoketa, Iowa; she died April 10, 1976. He later married Sandy K. Schaffer on August 31, 1996 in Camanche.
He was employed in the printing business, at Champion Packages for more than 13 years, Caterpillar for more than 11 years and International Paper for nine years. He had also owned and operated the Marik DX Gas Station in Charlotte for several years. He retired in 1998.
Terry enjoyed singing with his beautiful voice at weddings, funerals, karaoke and occasionally with various bands. He loved all sports and was an avid golfer. He was especially proud of his hole-in-one on father’s day, June 21, 1992 at Valley Oaks Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy of Camanche; children, Terry “Marty” (Jennifer) Brooks of Rapids City, IL; Guy (Sabrina Dooley) Brooks of Riverdale, IA; Jill (Doug) Witt of Clinton and Julie Brooks of Camanche; step-children, Joel (Dhana) Chandler of Omaha, NE; Brenda (Rich) Bedosky of Lewisburg, PA; Steven Schaffer of Clinton and Denise (Shaun Meiser) Schaffer of Camanche; grandchildren, Season (Dylan), Timon, Jacy, Lexee, Jadin, Jordin, Jeremy, Joshua, Jacinta, Carlotta and Joseph; step-grandchildren, Seth, Samantha, Ethan, Emma, Lindsey, Kelsey, Ciera, Irelyn, Taylor, Jayda and Jordyn; great-grandchildren, Jaley and Addi; step great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ella and a step-brother George Marik, Jr. of Seneca, IL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Parents, Step-father, George Marik, Sr. and step-brother, Bob Marik.
