Tammy S. Young, 62, of Camanche, Iowa passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
Memorial Visitation will be 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes with a prayer service at 4:00 pm. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Tammy Sue Humlick was born February 24, 1961 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Franklin and Adeline (Peterson) Humlick. She was a 1979 graduate of Camanche High School. She worked in finance for many years at local financial institutions. She married Larry Young on June 5, 1982 in Clinton, Iowa.
Tammy loved spending time with her mastiff dog, Millie. She enjoyed baking and crafting but mostly she loved time spent with her family and friends especially her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her thoughtful gifts and cards. Tammy was an advocate for organ donation. In life she received a kidney from her sister and in her death made an impact by donating herself to the Iowa Donor Network.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Larry Young of Camanche; siblings: Sandy (Randy) DeShazier of Camanche, Randy (Rosalind) Humlick of Park View, Iowa, Ronnie (Trish) Humlick of Camanche and Cindy (Tom) Coffey of Camanche; her favorite fur baby Millie; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nephews; father-in-law James Young of Clinton; sister-in-law Lori (Kevin) Koch of Clinton; and brothers-in-law: Lon (Jennifer) Young of Clinton and Lowell (Jody) Young of Ackley, Iowa.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Adeline Humlick and mother-in-law Janice Young.
