Susan M. Petersen, 76, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, October 27, 2025 at MercyOne – Clinton.
Susan Marie Schnoor was born on September 19, 1949 in Camanche, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Bernadette (Hartman) Schnoor. She was a graduate of Camanche High School. She married Gary Petersen on July 17, 1995.
Susan was a bartender at Joe’s Tap and worked at Stampede in Camanche.
Susan enjoyed her grandchildren and her dogs. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed tending to her garden.
Susan is survived by her husband: Gary of Clinton; her son: Chris (Jackie) Ebensberger of Clinton; step-children: Brian (Mickey) Petersen of Camanche, Joshua (Vanessa) Petersen of Clinton, Alisha (Jeremy) Morhardt of Fulton; 10 grandchildren; her sister: Carol Mitchell of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters.
A Celebration of her life will be at a later date. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
