Susan L. Mayland, 67, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Alverno.
A celebration of life service will start at 11:00am with a lunch to follow Saturday, April 23 at Buzzy’s in Welton. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Susan Louise Mayland was born on May 2, 1948 in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Dietrich and Marion (Hentze) Mayland. She graduated from high school in Elmore, Minnesota and Clinton Community College.
Susan was employed at International Paper and retired as an administration assistant at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Susan was a member of the Evangelical Free Church.
Susan is survived by her siblings: Arthur (Ruth) Mayland of Welton, Michael Mayland of Clinton, David Mayland of Bettendorf, Richard (Denise) Mayland of Alliance, Nebraska, Mary (David) Clabaugh of Brandon, Mississippi, and Alyson (Douglas) Tschopp of Davenport; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert, and sister Sandra.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mercy Clinton Hospice or Awana.
