In Loving Memory
1948 - 2007 Steven R. Schumacher, 59, of Clinton, passed away on Sunday November 4, 2007 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Visitation will be from 3pm-8pm on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 10:30am at Prince of Peace Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Ireneaus Cemetery.
Steven was born on February 23rd, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa to Raymond and June (McQuillan) Schumacher. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Steven Schumacher married Mary Terese Smith on June 30, 1972 in Clinton, Iowa. He was employed as a technician with Lyondell, Inc. for 37 years, and was a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Steve enjoyed music and mechanics in his leisure time as well as building, traveling, the riverfront and especially spending time with his family. In the early 70?s he was a member of Welkins Express, a local band.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terese, and four children, Mary Schumacher of Phoenix, AZ, Matthew Schumacher of Kansas City, MO., Andrew Schumacher of Clinton, IA and Sarah Schumacher of Phoenix, AZ.
He is also survived by his parents, Raymond and June Schumacher, sisters, Sue Whalen, Mindy Schumacher, Melanie (Brian) Drury and brothers, Jeff (Maryanna) Schumacher and Jerry (Tami) Schumacher. He will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his many nieces and nephews and two great-nephews, and his mother-in-law Mary M. Smith. Steve was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Steven and his grandparents. Memorials may be made to the Victory Center, Clinton.
