Stephen Struck's Obituary
Stephen Lynn Struck, 57, of Clinton, died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Mercy North, Clinton. Services will be 10:00am Monday November 19, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be from 3pm - 7pm Sunday November 18, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton. Burial will be in the Elvira Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Hilgendorf, Mike Owens, Jeff Stoller, John Yahn, Mike Fullan and Jim Bryden. Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Tholen, Don Struck, Mike Johnson, Ryan Vogel, Justin Vogel and Stephanie Struck Goode. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Stephen was born April 18, 1950 in Clinton to Donald Raymond and Martha (Manikowski) Struck. He was a 1969 Clinton High School graduate. He was employed as a union carpenter from 1975 until October of 1983 when he became a firefighter with the Clinton Fire Department. He was promoted to Engineer August 15, 1991 and retired from the Clinton Fire Department February 9, 2004. He was also employed with the Ski Patrol at Chestnut Mountain from 1975 to 1979. He was a member of ABATE, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, motorcycling and working on the farm. He also enjoyed playing with his dog, Ben. Survivors include his fiance, Shelby Kube of Clinton; brothers, Dennis Struck of Albany and Randy (Deb) Struck of Park View, IA; son, Brent Struck, daughter Stacia Struck both of Florida; his niece Stephanie Struck Goode and nephew Donald Struck. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Memorials may be made to the Clinton Fire Fighters Association, Local #609. Online condolences may be left at www.snellzornig.com.
