Stephen Joseph Meyer's Obituary
Stephen Joseph Meyer, 56, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday August 31, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 4PM to 7PM Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.
Steve was born July 8, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Dr. William and Mary Ann (Millius) Meyer. He was a 1984 Clinton High School Graduate. Steve attended the DeVry Institute of Technology, Chicago and received his bachelor degree from Mount St. Clare College, Clinton.
Steve married Nancy Jo Lind February 28, 1987 in Clinton, Iowa.
Steve had been employed as store manager for Menards in Indianapolis, Indiana; Dubuque, Iowa and Kewanee, Illinois for more than 15 years. Most recently he had been employed with Worley and Austin Industrial at ADM in Clinton.
Steve enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was a huge Indianapolis Colts fan and enjoyed the Cubs and Hawkeyes. Most of all, Steve enjoyed time spent with his family, friends and his dog, Marshall.
Survivors include his daughter, Maria (Ben) Christenson of Davenport, IA; granddaughter, Aliya at home; step-grandchildren, Alexia and Xander Christenson of Davenport; his pup, Marshall; siblings, Anne (Gary) McCright of Manchester, IA; Mike (Pat) Meyer of Norwalk, Iowa and Maria (Dennis) Lemke of Clinton, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a favorite charity.
