Shirley A. Card's Obituary
Shirley A. Card, 84, of Camanche passed away Friday March 17, 2023 at The Alverno Healthcare Facility - Clinton.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Camanche. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time at the church. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Snell- Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is honored to serve Shirley’s family.
Shirley Ann Gurke was born July 5, 1938 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of George and Florence (Claeys) Gurke. She attended Bettendorf High School. She enjoyed cleaning houses for her ladies and taking care of her grandchildren. She married Robert Card on July 29, 1978 in Clinton, Iowa.
Shirley and her husband Bob enjoyed time spent riding their Harley Davidson, she enjoyed camping, going to the flea market and shopping for a bargain at the local thrift store. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Bob Card of Camanche, two children: Joan (Mike) Ferguson of Bonaparte, Iowa and Marc (Jeanette) Seibel of Camanche; stepson: Todd (Delinda) Card of Camanche; grandchildren: Sebastian Meggers, Alison Seibel, Madeline Seibel, Chloe Card, Aleayah Card and Tinley Card; and one brother Mike (Karen) Gurke of Missouri.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, stepson Shawn Card and sister Phyllis Gurke.
