Sherry L. Stowers was born October 14, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of LeRoy and Vivian (Boyert) Stowers. She was a 1972 graduate of Clinton High School. Sherry was married to Billy Larson from 1974-1988. She married Duane “Dewey” Sharp on October 12, 1991; he passed away on November 18, 2002. She later married Michael Schoening on February 14, 2005; he passed away on January 19, 2015.
Sherry loved spending time with her family, and was lovingly a founding member of the "Old Bags Club" along with her crazy sisters, Sharon & Sheila (AKA Sheeah). Her niece Tricia recently became an honorary member of the club, but moreso as a "Designer Bag." Sherry loved the casino and traveling with the Old Bags. She was happy and had a smile that would brighten anyone's day.
She is survived by her four siblings: Sharon (Weston) Lind of Camanche, Sheila (Dave) Johnson of Camanche, Dennis Stowers of Bradenton, Florida and David (Linda) Stowers of Apache Junction, Arizona; a step-daughter Micaela Schoening of Nebraska and step-son Jason (Susan) Sharp of Camanche, and many nieces and nephews. Her beloved dog Lola has been remhomed with a wonderful family.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
