Shelly J. Strong, 45, of Clinton passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at her home in Clinton.

Shelly Jean Strong was born October 16, 1977, the daughter of Anne Winter. She was raised by her mother and father James and Anne Winter in Clinton, Iowa. She was a 1996 graduate of Clinton High School. She trained as a massage therapist and a phlebotomist. Shelly worked at New Choices as a supervisor helping many people with special needs as a home health aide.
She enjoyed kayaking, hiking and was always up for an adventure. She was an avid reader and big fan of Harry Potter. She loved spending time in nature, with her family and watching movies.
Shelly is survived by her daughter Jazlyn Whitaker of Clinton; mother Anne Winter of Clinton; siblings: Terri (Ted) Ingwersen of Central City, Iowa, Janet (Jake Callahan) Winter of Guttenberg, Iowa and Jimmy (Desiree Hernandez) Winter, Jr. of Clinton; nieces and nephews: Abbey, Morgan, Zach, Kira, Joe, Mason, Layla and James, III.
She was preceded in death by her father, maternal and paternal grandparents.
